Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar in a small mixing bowl.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket, covering all sides.
  • Pour the beef broth over the brisket in a roasting pan.
  • Cover the pan with foil and bake for 4-5 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  • Remove the foil and bake for 30 minutes more to brown the top.
  • Allow 10 minutes for the brisket to rest before slicing and serving.
