Steak and Mashed Potatoes with Mushrooms Recipe

This hearty and delicious meal combines a perfectly cooked steak with creamy mashed potatoes and savoury sautéed mushrooms.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
  • Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Place the steak on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes for medium-rare.
  • Meanwhile, cook the chopped potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes, or until tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a separate skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook until the mushrooms are tender and browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Serve the steak alongside mashed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms.
