Instructions

  • Brown the ground beef in a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  • Cook until the onion and garlic are softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
