Swedish Meatballs with Fried Potatoes Recipe

This traditional Swedish dish features savoury meatballs served with crispy fried potatoes, making it a hearty and filling meal suitable for any occasion.

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 45 minutes

Instructions

  • Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, egg, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  • Make 1-inch meatballs out of the mixture.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Set the meatballs aside after removing them from the skillet.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown, in the skillet.
  • Return the meatballs to the skillet and stir in the chopped parsley.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
  • Serve immediately.
