Medium Rare Steak with Fried Potatoes and Garlic Butter Recipe

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Wash the potatoes and cut them into thin rounds.
- Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes on a baking sheet.
- Toss to coat and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
- Season the steaks liberally with salt and pepper while the potatoes are cooking.
- Over high heat, heat a cast-iron skillet.
- Pour in just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until a golden crust forms, in the skillet with the steaks.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the butter and garlic.
- Baste the steaks with the garlic butter for 1-2 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium rare.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside for 5 minutes to rest before slicing.
- Serve the sliced steaks alongside the fried potatoes and any other sides of your choice.
